Happy holiday and peaceful new year
Everyone here at the Gender Matters would like to wish you all a very happy holiday and peaceful new year. Many thanks for all your cards, emails, best wishes that we have received, we’ve enjoyed reading them.
On a personal note, I’d like to relay my thanks to all those involved over the course of 2013, and indulge myself, by listing a few of my personal highlights from 2013, there have been many but here are just a few:
The 10th anniversary party – a brilliant night and a big thank you to those who organised the party and those that attended.
The Fashion Show - many thanks to all those who took part in this event and a special thank you, to those that worked late into the night one Thursday evening, to give this event a real buzz. The models that grew in confidence during the performance, just fantastic to witness.
Mapping My Journey (MMJ) – all the great interviews, research and so much more – I’m really looking forward to seeing the exhibition at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.
The many photo shoots for MMJ – I must have driven people to distraction with some of the ideas I came up with - some really great photos…the one outside of the chip shop, the bus stop, etc., capturing the things we do day-to-day!
The SOFFA/OSCARS Groups – thanks to the efforts of a number of volunteers, these groups go from strength to strength.
There are many more and so many people I would like to thank that it’d prove to be another ‘never ending story’…
Looking forward to 2014!
